SOS Wyong

Tuggerah Treehouse is a great family holiday programme that runs for the first week of January.

We managed to take a load of kids to this porgramme aswell as Good News Week (in Berkeley vale High School) last year.

A fun filled programme that includes complimentary food and drinks, ?with kids programmes for all ages: Pre-school, School and Teens that run from 9-11:30ish.

ITS ALL FREE! Thanks to a number of churches and volunteers looking to provide good fun and Good news for the community

To avoid the HEAT of summer, which hasn’t really hit yet, we meet at the different time of 3:45 for a 4 oclock start.

Please remember that tea will be AFTER the Sermon.

We will begin at 4pm for announcements and singing, occasionally, before we launch into the sermon.

All being good we will be be finished by 4:45 to begin heating up dinner and serving by 5pm.

Don’t forget to bring a plate and get there on Time

Monday night prayer has grown over the last 2 months to include Family time prayer from 7-7:30pm

From 7:30pm Families head off while the Adults continue to share and prayer together till 9pm

Don’t forget that the parking arrangements have changes at the Old Salvos building, duer to the expansion of the car yard.

Same place, different time: 10:30am EASTER SUNDAY

The general consensus last week was to meet at 10:30am Easter Sunday for a fun, Family service that celebrates the Truth about Jesus at Easter.

This will allow people to leave quickly if need be to meet with Family and Friends.

Feel free to come join us but be warned… the Easter Bunny is no friend of Jesus so he will be in for a tough time.

Our latest kids character, ‘Flo Jo’, an Australian Idol wannabe, will be there to find out the true meaning of Easter (and learn that he is not the centre of the universe) while challenging the kids @ rapping, dancing and easter egg eating

Having experienced the best part of the day in summer we thought we might get the best part of the day in winter!

So…while we are a small congregation we thought we might trial 12 lunch as the new starting time.

NO need to bring something to eat over the holidays… maybe some biscuits or cake to go with a coffee afterwards

IF this seems to be working we’ll look at having lunch at 1 when the holidays are over.

People were pretty keen on the mornings remaining free… in most cases for a sleep in

It will be good for families as we avoid the cold and the dark this time around.

Against the odds the weather was almost perfect

A real highlight in our very early Church plant history.

Thanks to Pastor Phil Patch who gave an excellent summary on Baptism and its symbolic significance of Spiritual rebirth in Christ.

Thanks to all who came out to support our dear brother in this step of obedience and blessing.

Look out… we’ve started something… there are a few others now considering this step of obedience to Christ.

It is an important part of the christian walk and needs to be considered thoughtfully and prayerfully.

Matt ‘VARKEN’ Coonan is at it again.

 The much awaited skate comp is back on again at the Slam Factory, off Gavenlock road, Tuggerah/Wyong.

This Thursday night 8th July from 5pm. Heaps of good prizes for both the pro’s and the rest

SOS Wyong is looking good for providing a BBQ from about 4pm (set up) to about 7pm (pack up)

Should be a good night with many opportunities to connect with youth in the community.

We hope everyone has a safe and happy Australia Day.

 A day well worth celebrating with family and friends.

 Really sad for anyone who had to work today…hope the penalty rates make up for it.
