To avoid the HEAT of summer, which hasn’t really hit yet, we meet at the different time of 3:45 for a 4 oclock start.

Please remember that tea will be AFTER the Sermon.

We will begin at 4pm for announcements and singing, occasionally, before we launch into the sermon.

All being good we will be be finished by 4:45 to begin heating up dinner and serving by 5pm.

Don’t forget to bring a plate and get there on Time

Same place, different time: 10:30am EASTER SUNDAY

The general consensus last week was to meet at 10:30am Easter Sunday for a fun, Family service that celebrates the Truth about Jesus at Easter.

This will allow people to leave quickly if need be to meet with Family and Friends.

Feel free to come join us but be warned… the Easter Bunny is no friend of Jesus so he will be in for a tough time.

Our latest kids character, ‘Flo Jo’, an Australian Idol wannabe, will be there to find out the true meaning of Easter (and learn that he is not the centre of the universe) while challenging the kids @ rapping, dancing and easter egg eating

LOTS – Life on the Street is on this Thursday 9th Sept 3:30-dark.

  SOS Lots, with volunteers from Wyong Bapts, in friendship with the local community, will be running a BBQ and games as per usual.

Against the odds the weather was almost perfect

A real highlight in our very early Church plant history.

Thanks to Pastor Phil Patch who gave an excellent summary on Baptism and its symbolic significance of Spiritual rebirth in Christ.

Thanks to all who came out to support our dear brother in this step of obedience and blessing.

Look out… we’ve started something… there are a few others now considering this step of obedience to Christ.

It is an important part of the christian walk and needs to be considered thoughtfully and prayerfully.

Well the brains trust of the LOTS boys are ticking over…Santa came and handed out lollies to the kids and then sat down with them for some lolly trivia about Jesus. Matt Coonan gave the lowdown from a neat picture filled booklet titled: What are Christmas and Easter all about? The booklet came to us via http://www.goodseed.com. Rich Clark and Don Lawson tag teamed the BBQ and all had a merry time indeed. Please keep praying that the opportunities at Maple Circle continue to blossom and that lives will be changed for the better.

We headed into Maple circle with the salvo’s about a month ago and made some new friends and enemies for the sake of the gospel. The enemy making was limited and unintentional while the new friendships are most definitely deliberate and intentional. The Salvo’s have been running a BBQ once a fortnight for the last 3 years with a quite extravagant set up that has been a real blessing to people in the area.

We are learning alot from their persistence and passion and are fortunate to be able to build on what they are doing as we take a more relationship based approach to this community work.

As the Salvo’s are only able to put the BBQ on once a fortnight, we are hopeful of putting one on during the alternate weeks they are not there while also joining with them on the weeks that they are

What a land mark moment! The lads have earned enough respect to begin a unique Church/Bible study in Joce ave. The first one went off today without a hitch and may questioons were answered aswell as many more being asked. The lads (Matt, Wilso and Phil Warpol) are working through the gospel of Luke and hope for God to work His mojo and lead some of these great people to greener pastures. Very exciting, encouraging, controversial woooooh! What a great inspiration for us all.

What an awesome day for a BBQ. We were praying for the clouds to go and they did about 20 minutes before we left. Praise God for giving us great weather every Saturday for however many weeks we’ve been doing this. God has really been answering prayer on behalf of the guys in Joyce and the positive impact of SOS is starting to bear fruit.

A couple of the lads were drinking less while others managed to visit a local Church in the area!  Extra people have started to come along and some of the guys are keen to start a bible study. We are probably going to go through the book of Luke first. Pray for the guys as we start to push the Gospel forward.
