That just means we are learning how to consider the immediate, literary and historical context ot the scriptures aswell as the who when what and why before we seek to APPLY it to our lives.

We will all be starting with John 3:16. Each of us will look to bring a message of between 2-10minutes each week.

In this we will experience a wide range of differences that will all compliment one another in a unique way.

Pray for a filling of the spirit before you put hand to keyboard

The women continue thier study on experiencing the Spirit.

Controversially compelling, the ladies really seem to be enjoying thier time together and pouring over the scriptures to aid them in the gripping study.

Food, fun and friendship make for a good night out for the girls.

Phil has also beeen known to whip up some ‘special’ coffees for the coffee lovers in the group

We will begin Preaching through this Letter from Sunday 29th of April and it will probably go for a couple of terms. 

There is a real buzz around our gatherings and amongst each other as we approach this book this term.

People are genuinely nervous and excited as we have experienced first hand within our congregation what some of the letter covers.

Add to this the divided nature of Churches everywhere  and the lack of recognition that we are members of the same Body and you have a real catalyst for self; reflection and criticism with humility that we might attempt to be who we are already in Christ Jesus: Unified in mind, heart and soul.

The very happy conclusion to the Easter story is celebrated this Sunday.

We are having a family friendly Easter presentation that looks at the Super power of Jesus on Easter Sunday.

It is an animated video presentation that combines the superhero theme with the Easter story.

No doubt there will be easter egg eating of some kind

All welcome, invite a friend or family should be great.

This is a real ‘no frills’ event that may require parents to prep thier kids for the solemness of the occasion.

It is our hope that we will experience something of the grief that sacrifice that our Lord took upon himself that we might find a new and fresh appreciation for his amzing sacrifice and amazing grace. All welcometo participate.

We will be starting with lunch before we have our Church and kids programs.

Just a reminder that we have found this to be a much better time after daylight savings due to how early it gets dark aswell as the factor of the cold when winter hits.

As usual we love to meet around the meal as part of our ‘Back to Acts’ vision of the N.T. Church.

Having looked at the right meditation this past Sunday and seeing towards the end that we are now to be governed by the ‘the law of the Spirit’ we must revisit Jesus teaching on the Law, His take on the top two commands and His New commandment.

We’ll look this week at the difference between Jesus fulfilling the Law and the Pharisee’s attempt to fulfil it before we look at how Christ defined LOVE is the fulfilment of the law even for the Christian today

This is an important step forward in knowing how to meditate on God, by his word, through the power of the Holy Spirit.

So many awesome answers to prayer that have beeen really positive.

From 7-7:30- those with kids come to pray as a family and here we teach the kids to do the Lords supper with each other.

From 7:30 on its the parents time to pray with those who rock up at 7:30.

Phil and Claire Patch have really blessed people who have come for prayer on many and varied issues. In some cases I’ve seen 2 years of recovery done in 2 hours.

Its a great time to fellowship, refresh and ask for Gods healing

This term we are organising the Sunday gathering together before encouraging one another in the word by the Spirit

We look to end the night at 9 but there is usually some seriously fun fellowship happening so its no guarantee.
